Upon arrival, with Cape Town Helicopters, at the world-class Vergelegen Wine Estate, you can explore the historical landmark, spanning 320 years of heritage, the exquisite gardens and Vergelegen’s award-winning wines.

Vergelegen Wine Estate is the perfect place to spend quality time with family and friends while enjoying wine tasting, environmental and cellar tours, shopping, three restaurants, and a myriad of other enjoyable activities. Receive a warm welcome at the Vergelegen Wine Tasting Centre, where knowledgeable wine advisors will be happy to guide you through Vergelegen’s range of award-winning wines. The Tasting Centre overlooks an extensive octagonal-shaped herb garden and guests have the option of tasting inside or outside on the patio.

You can also enjoy a different dining experience with delicious food tantalising your taste buds, served in astonishing scenery, at one of the restaurants, whilst sipping on Vergelegen’s award-winning wines before your departure back to the V&A Waterfront.

The Winelands, Cape Town Helicopters flight package

The Vergelegen Wine Estate Cape Town Helicopters flight package includes a private helicopter flight to and from Vergelegen Wine Estate and a half-day experience (at the estate to enjoy wine tasting and or pairing, shopping, and lunch (for your own account).

Helicopter Flight Time:	V&A Waterfront to Vergelegen Wine Estate (+20 minutes) Vergelegen Wine Estate back to V&A Waterfront (+20 minutes)
Ground Time:	Spend approximately 2,5 to 3 hours at Vergelegen Wine Estate
Total Winelands Flight Experience:	3-4 hours in total

* Cape Town Helicopters reserves the right to bring the helicopter back to base if operationally required and we will then perform the collection from Vergelegen Wine Estate at an appointed time.

Flights are subject to weather conditions. A full refund will be provided where rescheduling of flights is unavailable.

Important Information

Check In Time

Please check in 30 minutes before your scheduled takeoff time. This allows us to complete weight checks, conduct the safety briefing, and issue your tickets. Once checked in, you can relax in our waiting area, capture some great pre-flight photos, and soak in the atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Photography Tip

For the best photos, we recommend wearing darker-colored clothing. Light colours, especially white, can reflect off the windows and affect your shots—so dress dark for that perfect picture! We do not have an on-site photographer.

Seating Allocation

For all sharing flights, seating is assigned based on weight and balance, which is determined during your safety briefing and ticketing. If you prefer to choose your own seats, you may book an Exclusive Flight by purchasing one additional seat—guaranteeing you the best seats in the house.

Weather

All flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying, we will make every effort to reschedule your flight to the next best available time. For your comfort, please note that the temperature in the sky is the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly.
