Brookdale is located in the Paarl Wine Valley and was initiated with a clear vision in mind to create a world-class country estate that encourages the freedom to be curious, to try new things, to test the limits and to pioneer new paths. The first step in Brookdale Estate’s vision is to produce fine and interesting wine blends using unusual varietals in South African context. Indigenous vegetation and gardens were created in abundance alongside new, thoughtfully planted vineyards.

Brookdale Estate is set against the Klein Drakenstein mountains with a restaurant and tasting lounge where you can expect the unexpected with menus crafted by Gary Coetzee and tasting experiences that serve to nourish your mind and palate.

At Brookdale, wellness is when a balance is restorative and they take this approach to their vineyard, gardens, wines, food and experience. This practice extends to their winemaking practices, kitchens, and Manor House. Balance is essential to all that they do in flavour and creation. The winemaking style focuses on a vine-to-glass philosophy where care is taken from the root of the vine all the way to the final creation. Each aspect of the Brookdale experience is carefully considered to have a low impact on the environment while nourishing the body, mind and soul of their guests.

Wines at Brookdale include some lesser-known grape varietals from Portugal, Italy and France. Meet the winemaker Kiara Scott Farmer, who uses unusual techniques to craft intriguing blends. Have lunch at the Bistro on the estate which features menu options produced from the best local and seasonal ingredients that are wholesome and bursting with flavour. Enjoy a wine tasting in the tasting room – a welcoming space to come together over a glass of wine while having a front-row seat to the surrounding vineyards. The experience includes lunch and wine tasting.

Upon arrival with Cape Town Helicopters, you can enjoy a diversity of activities ranging from winetasting to having lunch at the restaurant.

Booking Lead Time:
Bookings for the Brookdale Wine Estate flight, require bookings with a minimum lead time of 48 hours to obtain landing permissions from the Brookdale Wine Estate premises.

The Brookdale Wine Estate Cape Town Helicopters flight package includes a private helicopter flight to and from Brookdale Wine Estate and a half-day experience at Brookdale Wine Estate to enjoy wine tasting and lunch.

* Cape Town Helicopters reserves the right to bring the helicopter back to base if operationally required and we will then perform the collection from Brookdale Wine Estate at an appointed time.

Important Information

Check In Time

Please check in 30 minutes before your scheduled takeoff time. This allows us to complete weight checks, conduct the safety briefing, and issue your tickets. Once checked in, you can relax in our waiting area, capture some great pre-flight photos, and soak in the atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Photography Tip

For the best photos, we recommend wearing darker-colored clothing. Light colours, especially white, can reflect off the windows and affect your shots—so dress dark for that perfect picture! We do not have an on-site photographer.

Seating Allocation

For all sharing flights, seating is assigned based on weight and balance, which is determined during your safety briefing and ticketing. If you prefer to choose your own seats, you may book an Exclusive Flight by purchasing one additional seat—guaranteeing you the best seats in the house.

Weather

All flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying, we will make every effort to reschedule your flight to the next best available time. For your comfort, please note that the temperature in the sky is the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly.
