Cavalli is best known for its award-winning wine, cuisine, architecture, indigenous gardens and art. Cavalli is recognized as a South African lifestyle brand since the inception of the estate’s development. Cavalli is stretched across 100 hectares of prime land located in the prestigious Helderberg region of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The estate boasts 26 hectares of vineyards, 10 hectares of indigenous fynbos gardens, a contemporary art gallery, a luxury boutique and a world-class equestrian facility. This is an experience for the day!

Chef Lucas Carstens focuses on the Utilization of seasonal produce from Cavalli Garden and the surrounding small farms – all of the supplies follow ethical farming practices with the focus being on sustainability. Knowing the origin of or ingredients is key, using modern techniques and a layered presentation style where leaves and vegetables are the spotlight on the plate rather than the protein. Delight in the season's freshest produce with the Chef's set menu.

Upon arrival with Cape Town Helicopters, you can enjoy a diversity of activities ranging from wine tasting, take a tour of the contemporary art gallery or browse and shop at the luxury boutique and take a ride around the estate in a horse-drawn carriage.

Booking Lead Time:
Bookings for the Cavalli Wine Safari, require bookings with a minimum lead time of 72 hours to obtain landing permissions from the Cavalli premises.

The Winelands, Cape Town Helicopters flight package

The Cavalli Cape Town Helicopters flight package includes a private helicopter flight to and from Cavalli Wine Estate and a half-day experience at Cavalli to enjoy wine tasting and or pairing, shopping, and lunch.

Helicopter Flight Time:

V&A Waterfront to Cavalli (+25 minutes)

Cavalli back to V&A Waterfront (+25 minutes)

Ground Time: Spend approximately 2,5 to 3 hours at Cavalli

Total Winelands Flight Experience: 3-4 hours in total

* Cape Town Helicopters reserves the right to bring the helicopter back to base if operationally required and we will then perform the collection from Cavalli at an appointed time.

Flights are subject to weather conditions. A full refund will be provided where rescheduling of flights is unavailable.

Important Information

Check In Time

Please check in 30 minutes before your scheduled takeoff time. This allows us to complete weight checks, conduct the safety briefing, and issue your tickets. Once checked in, you can relax in our waiting area, capture some great pre-flight photos, and soak in the atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Photography Tip

For the best photos, we recommend wearing darker-colored clothing. Light colours, especially white, can reflect off the windows and affect your shots—so dress dark for that perfect picture! We do not have an on-site photographer.

Seating Allocation

For all sharing flights, seating is assigned based on weight and balance, which is determined during your safety briefing and ticketing. If you prefer to choose your own seats, you may book an Exclusive Flight by purchasing one additional seat—guaranteeing you the best seats in the house.

Weather

All flights are weather-dependent. If conditions are not suitable for flying, we will make every effort to reschedule your flight to the next best available time. For your comfort, please note that the temperature in the sky is the same as on the ground, so dress accordingly.
