We are open and ready to take to the skies with you

It’a a party at Woodstock Exchange

Those who’ve been keeping an eye on the transformation of three old industrial buildings into the Woodstock Exchange almost certainly share our excitement.

If you haven’t yet and need a reason to go check it out, keep next Thursday, November 1 free, when a number of creatives are celebrating their official launch with a party. In the spirit of celebration, many of the other outlets will be open too.

What can you expect? Good food, cash bar and live music – along with awesome products, inspiring creatives and fab treats. The evening kicks off at 6:30pm.

Gorgeous products. We love the Martini bags, leather duffel and wrap chairs. Check out all their products on Facebook or their website.

Owners Neal and Vanessa and their team offer a variety of yoga and meditation, along with a creative project space. AIR has some great opening offers available during October, so you have a week left to take advantage. Find out more on Facebook and at their website

Owned by Amanda Williamson (Sam & Seb) and Sylvia Benoist (Petit pois), Frekkle is a unique kids’ lifestyle and clothing brand. They also have a kid’s hair salon planned in the coming months. Frekkle’s launch starts a little earlier, specially for little ones. Facebook | Website

What can we say? Divine pies, pastries, sandwiches and Deluxe coffee. This is their second outlet; they also has a shop in Barrack Street. Lots of specials including Commuter Friday. Well worth following on Facebook to keep you updated and your mouth watering. Find them here and online here

In December 2010 the charming Jess and her 1975 Jurgens Caravan that was transformed into a ‘bohemian-chic’ mobile tearoom, revolutionised tea drinking in Cape Town.

Her equally charming tea parlour at Woodstock Exchange is the realisation of her vision for a permanent space to share her love for tea with imported and locally sourced fair-trade, ethically produced and organic loose-leaf tea and teatime treats. Facebook | Website

Not their official launch, but they’ll be open. Stunning handcrafted furniture, lighting, accessories, textiles, clothing, jewellery and more. The Beam Me Up, Scotty lamp is a B-guided favourite. See more of their ranges on Facebook.

Soon to be opening a new outlet at Woodstock Exchange, Honest Chocolate will be open on the night with chocolate, ice cream and more chocolate. And perhaps even a few other surprises. Indescribably delicious chocolate that’s actually good for you. You know you want some. Facebook | Website

We also recommend:

  • Urban Africa – Vincent Urbain’s range of leather goods; understated, stylish, timeless footwear, handbags, messenger bags, laptop sleeves, wallets, belts, cardholders, key rings and more. Urban Africa also offers custom made pieces if you’re looking for something truly unique. Facebook
  • Rosetta Roastery – not a retail space, but you can make an appointment see where they roast single-origin and estate coffees and present them in super stylish packaging. Rosetta offers free bi-weekly deliveries in the Cape Town area. Facebook

There’s plenty more to see, so be there.
